Re: National pride?

A Russian-speaking Estonian Jew (as in "Jew by blood", not by religion), and I'm not proud, I'm really fucked up.

I suspect that I'd like to not identify with any of my nationalities, just be a world citizen, but it's absolutely impossible due to the Russian elements of my upbringing and Russian community in Estonia being super isolated. They sometimes remind me of the Whites.

Also I'm scared of the concept of "national pride". It sounds as if you're accepting responsibility for a huge group of people you don't even know. I'm not ready to do that, never, which doesn't mean that there aren't particular "Russian" or "Estonian" or "Jewish" things I like; there are.
