I know exactly what you mean, but thankfully i steered clear of Reborn threads on /y/ and /cm/ and the apparent 'BNF's in the fandom or w/e, so i'm able to enjoy it being waaaaaay outside of the fandom.

I hope you read it one day though, because it really is fantastic :D but yeah like what you said, when things have calmed down.

I love the fandom but everytime I see a Reborn thread in /cm/ I shed a tear. We don't need five threads at once, dammit.

Though I still enjoy the series and LOVE when my friends get into it. It's fun to talk about Reborn with others and I'm loving the pretty icons and (every now and then) good fics.

Well, like you said, the fangirlism and the yaoi are to be expected in fandom, especially in a shounen manga with very few girls (and these girls don't even have big boobs).

I suppose I'm sorry that you found the KHR fandom before you actually started to read the manga or watch the anime. Besides my apology, I guess the only other thing I can say is to try reading the manga, and just forget it has a fandom? -shot-
