why do i keep buying his things? ....i don't know.

as to why i hate him, i have an illustrative analogy about his creative process.

when nomura sees a missed plotline or an unexplained "problem" in anything he does, he attempts to go back and fix it by making it even more needlessly complicated

it's basically like watching someone try to solve a rubix cube, but then when they get down to the last 2 sides they decide that a good way to solve this rubix cube would be by gluing two MORE rubix cubes to cover up the unfinished sides

then lo and behold, there are 2 more unfinished rubix cubes!! HOW WILL WE SOLVE THEM? the same ineffective way we solved the last one! by making it into a new and more complicated problem!

and i will be first in line for kingdom hearts 3

Ugggh, that guy. It never fails to be depressing to see someone who utterly fails at every level of good character design but still gets to keep cranking them out at one of the best jobs ever.

Just once I'd like to put a gun to his head and tell him to design a character without a single belt, buckle, zipper or button. I'm sure his head will explode before I need to pull the trigger.
