I expect a lot of people are going to agree that no one wants to read about your OCs going on adventures with canon characters, but there is an audience for that. There's even an audience for crappy OCs, but I would suggest working to improve those instead of looking for that audience.

I'd say it's not only SPN that has a kinkshaming problem. I've seen it crop up in Doctor Who, sadly. And I bet it exists in other fandoms as well because newer fen are quick to judge before backbuttoning out of something they don't understand or don't want to read. Also, they don't understand the history of "choose not to warn."

Yeah... I mean, I understand that Erica is the only female wolf so she provides an interesting dynamic, Boyd is fucking awesome and his actor is also really awesome so ugh just no.

And when people keep writing in Jackson, god it PISSES me off. Yes, let's continue to write in the white douchebag played by an even bigger, racist douchebag. I usually stop reading when I see it.

But mostly because it's also a very easy indication of when someone has Pack Mom Stiles syndrome, and all of the characters are extremely OOC anyway.
