For me, the experience the anon you were replying to is definitely something I've seen on Tumblr (used to, anyway, as I've mostly unfollowed these kinds of people).

Every time I see one of those posts, I want to go, "Enjoy your childhood while it lasts, kid." Either these people are incredibly young or incredibly spoiled.

I've actually had people in the past attempt to guilt-trip me because I am so worried about not having a job, even though I don't technically "need one" because I still live with my father (apparently worrying about my future and my resume is stupid), or because I worry about my grades and will absolutely prioritize my homework over my fanfic without a second thought. Like, I'm glad you like my fic and I really am sorry I can't update more often, but I live in the real world and if I don't get good grades or a job, I am screwed - in the future if not now.
