Oh my god I am in love with Allison being that sort of type. I really have no idea where they are going with her character, but I feel like one a the few people I know who just loves her.

Yeah she went off the deep end, but that just makes her even more interesting to me.

I can't see her as a likable character anymore, much less as a smart, strong or moral person. It's now twice that she has allowed her family to manipulate her into killing people.

I think to understand Allison, you really need to understand what her family is meant to be.

As someone who grew up in that insular, us-against-them, constantly moving around when any problem arises sort of family, I can easily tell you, it's extremely difficult to become warped into thinking your family knows best about everything. You end up feeling trapped and are so easily manipulated, but at the same time feel trapped so you do terrible things out of fear of being abandoned.
Is it pitiful? Yes. Is it something that excuses her actions? Definitely not. But it is something that gives depth to her character, an interesting background and reasoning that many female characters never see an ounce of.
So people can hate Allison, they can really truly hope that she is never forgiven, but when they wish she would get killed and written off, but at the same time want Derek to gain more screen time, or Isaac, it really just confuses me that people can love and analyze these villainous traits in these male characters and sympathize with them, but not even remotely try to understand her.
