No, the hybrid thing was an analogy, based on a reaction I've often heard in response to very ardent environmentalists (i.e. "the more they refuse to shut-up ever about harmful gas emissions, the more I want to buy a Hummer and lug around a deadweight trailer all the time just to piss them off").

But yeah, my number one peeve about SJWs is that they make the fight for actual social justice - like, real world progress for real world people, aka practical application - that much harder for the rest of us.
