I don't know OP's situation but if I had to choose between laundry and wifi I would have to choose wifi for reasons that have nothing to do with fun and entertainment. I need it for my job, my school, and it's my only or most reliable means of communication for a majority of the people I need to be in contact with.

Besides wifi could be a contract thing that would cost more to get out of than to pay for and hope for the best. And bills are usually paid at the beginning of the month and if something unexpected comes up you can't pinch out of something you've already paid.
