Yeah, she sounds like she's not applying herself here, but how the fuck do you know how stressful her life (with kids) isn't or how difficult her "easy" classes are for her?

She may be lazy, but she's not the only rude one.

Yeah I understand OP's frustration, but the rant is coming off as pretty judgmental of this woman who may be extremely stressed and may really struggle applying herself in school.

Not to mention "stress" is largely mental and doesn't always have everything to do with your life situation, I can be stressed sitting around doing nothing, in face I often am.

Please go tell some person working two jobs just to attempt to break even they can't say they're more stressed than you because it's hard on you mentally to sit around and do nothing.

Okay in no way was that comment about "who's more stressed" and I think you're missing the point.

Just because you think someone has it easy that does not give you a right to judge their life nor do you know what is going on in their head. And someone telling you about their life is also not a 24-7 webcam into everything that goes on for them in a day.

You can also fuck right off when you don't know someone's physical or mental disabilities and how fucking stressful it is to be unemployed.

Re: rant

Because she tells me. Literally the only thing she is required to do domestically is pick up her kids and drive them to her mother's so her mother can watch them until her husband gets off work. She brags about how she doesn't have chores and doesn't have to work. As for the classes? She's taking walking, bowling, and one other class known for being an easy pass.

I don't care if you think I'm rude for thinking it's infuriatingly unfair for her to ask me to make her a study guide the night before a test because she never got around to it and wants to go to a dinner party in the same e-mail she acknowledges I won't have time for it until I get off work but that it'll be okay because she's going dancing so she'll be up late.

That's when you say "fuck no. You can't go to a dinner party and go dancing while I sit here and do all your work. Stay home and fucking study, you stupid cow."

I'm not that person and if I even hint at not wanting to do it she'll lay in with the emotional manipulation and endless fishing for compliments and veiled threats of us failing the project.

Oh, why didn't you say you were a doormat. Would have saved us all some time.

Wasn't asking for advice so if you feel your time was wasted it wasn't me wasting it. I need the credits, she doesn't. I'm the only one with anything to lose and we both know it. If that makes me a doormat fine. As long as I end up a doormat with a degree.

Man/Woman the fuck up and tell your professor the partnership just isn't working. It happens.

Re: rant

(Anonymous) 2013-03-21 01:34 am (UTC)(link)
If she's doing this in e-mails then why don't you just save them and show them to the professor, I'm pretty sure he'd have some things to say about her trying to extort you into cheating

Re: rant

(Anonymous) 2013-03-21 01:43 am (UTC)(link)
Is it cheating? She's just asking me to break things down into a simple study guide for her.

Re: rant

(Anonymous) 2013-03-21 02:27 am (UTC)(link)
What you mean is, she's asking you to study the material and summarize it into it's simplest points so she doesn't have to. Which means you're doing her work.

These people exist in every situation, so practice saying no. Say "I am too fucking busy." It's an easy thing, trust me.
