Re: Giving money to strangers

If I do have the money (and time) to spare, I insist on buying them a coffee or food. Sadly, many of the people begging in my area just want the money for drugs, and while they'll take the food, they'll also mutter about how you're a bitch or the like.

I've definitely lied about having money though, mainly because some of them are very obviously dangerous and I don't want them thinking that I'm worth mugging. Polite excuses, stay near people or keep moving.
