The kink meme seems to be thriving, and contrary to what a lot of people here think, it's a pretty cool place (especially if you skim and scroll past posts you don't like). I'm sad that most of fandom has moved to Tumblr, but I'm glad The Avengers still has a presence on LJ.
I guess it depends on where you're looking and what fandom you're in, but i think of Tumblr as an annoying accessory.
Are you reading my mind? I lurk on a few character-specific (and character-driven) Tumblrs, but I really don't need that much constant fandom stimulation to be happy.

I love the fanart and the .gifs - i wouldn't see them otherwise - but i don't look at Tumblr except like once a week or so.
