The way your secret changes the font colour is really off-putting. I'd recommend using either a contrasting colour, a more transparent background or a stroke around the font.

Particularly seeing how words at the bottom got cut off because OP forgot to change those colors.

OP here, sorry guys! I didn't realize it was that messed up. Will keep in mind for future secrets though!

If your graphics program has a text shadow option, use that. If it doesn't, copy the text layer, then invert the colors of the lower layer and apply a blur.
