(Anonymous) 2013-03-23 08:41 pm (UTC)(link)2) Neither he nor Michonne are Mary Sues are being overtly glorified; they are both depicted as being far from perfect, both had to earn their place in the group, and both continue to have dubious morals. The only reason they seem badass is because they've developed the ruthless battle skills necessary for living in a zombie apocalypse, as one does, if one expects to live.
3) I don't agree he's been derailed so far, and interviews with Norman Reedus suggest he's trying really hard not to let that happen, but yeah, he probably will if the writers aren't careful.
