If this is who I think it is, it's a character literally named "Gay Tony". So the metrosexual part is dubious.

So now it's just a nickname cause of how he dresses. Or he thought he was gay till he met whomever.

THEY DO THIS ALL THE TIME ON THE OTHER END. It's a well established practice.
