High School Musical 2 is the best movie ever made and no one can convince me otherwise.

Seriously, it's so sweet and endearing and cheesy in just the right parts and the characters do legitimately feel real in it with 'real' high school problems (you know the ones that you thought were legit in high school but actually looking back are silly) and the music is super catchy. People think it's dumb because it says "High School Musical" on it and ok it's not the SMARTEST movie in the world, but it's a lot of fun, and imo much better than the other two.

If someone tells me they didn't like it I assume they've never seen it :P

YES. I've had to defend that film to motherfuckers who think only the first film is worth anything. Are you kidding me? HSM 2 has better songs, better plot, better everything!

(I also like Camp Rock 2 better than Camp Rock. I'm a weird one.)

I think people dislike HSM because it's 'some dumb tween thing', like the way people hate Justin Bieber. But some dumb tween things are pretty good, and HSM is one of them. I'm pretty sure everybody likes HSM in one way or another. It's just a matter of manning up about it.

I have an entire slashy Ryan/Chad head canon to go along with 'I Can't Dance' (and honestly, who doesn't? Super obvious metaphor for coming out is super obvious), and I occasionally often break out into song with 'Work It Out', and watching the video for 'Bet On It' never fails to make me both giggle and grin, so I agree with you there. Definitely my favourite of the trilogy, at least.
