I don't really see what could've sparked this feeling on OP's part. He hasn't played a major role in the last several episodes, and before then he's had an interesting character arc involving how he relates to and deals with his brother. He hasn't gone on sprees of implausible badassery or started taking over the show. Having a skill-set that makes you well-suited to a particular situation doesn't make you a Mary Sue.
