Uhhh, shipping was always like that, those attitudes have been around long before Tumblr. I think Tumblr just makes it more visible, because it's harder to avoid things that you don't like if you follow people who do like them. (Yeah, yeah, Tumblr Savior, but that only works if people actually tag stuff.)

And then on the other end of the spectrum, you've got people who only ship m/f and then complain about why does everyone have to be gay omg they're not gay stop making them all gay.

If I could tell fandom one thing, it'd be to stop giving so much of a shit about what other people ship.
