I utterly adore how, after ... eight years? Nine? I still keep noticing new details and finding new angles for analysis with Revolutionary Girl Utena. And how all the characters are flawed, and all of them are jerks at some point, and yet you'll come to feel sympathy for each and every one of them. That story, in all its incarnations, is the love of my life.

I love, love, love how Puella Magi Madoka Magica ended, and the whole shows, and the characters and their friendships and the various twists and how the whole show, by being written by someone who seems to really get what depression is about, manages to be one of the most uplifting (yes, really) things I've watched. Also, the soundtrack. <3

Because yeah, Yuki Kajiura. Or more like Fuck yeah, Yuki Kajiura! ^^ She uses dissonances and seconds and fourths and fifths and drones and intertwining harmonies in a way I don't even know how to describe, but it all manages to end up amazing and beautiful and ... and she is brilliant. One thing I especially love is those of her songs that have several different parts that play together, on top of each other, at the end of the song (like "Nowhere": A, A, B, C, D, A, B, C, D, A, D+E, A+B+C, D, A).

Robin Hobb's Realm of the Elderlings books, especially the characters and the worldbuilding. I love them so much. That is all. Well, that, and that I've actually picked up the Liveship Traders books just to read the parts with Amber, because I was all stressed out and sad and reading about her was like being near a calming friend.
