I think you'd be surprised, OP. Monster High has a decent-sized adult fanbase, and I don't think they'd care too much as long as you tag or mark it appropriately so the little girls the dolls are marketed to don't accidentally stumble onto it.

This. Apparently it has a HUGE adult fanbase, which is unsurprising considering the collectible nature of the dolls, and how much they harken back to the 70's, 80's, and 90's with some of their fashion options.

I'm part of this adult fanbase and most of us like to take photos of the doll characters (basically we use them as our models) and create new styles for them/customize them.

And while shipping is prominent, smut was never a subject.
Maybe because a good chunk of us share the hobby with our (young) children (?)

But... risque and sexy photos DO exist. So maybe there could be a "market" for smut? X)

I love the webseries and the dolls and I'm 25.
I also like to ship them (my OTP is Robecca/Venus lol), but somehow I'm zero interested in reading or seeing rule34 of them. Maybe because the characters and their romantic relationships are very innocent in canon (only recently Ghoulia wanted to have her first... KISS).

I know they don't look the part, but most of them are still 15 or 16.
They're still kids to me. That squicks me.

Me too, but I honestly don't want it to turn into the MLP fandom, so I just chat about my headcanons with my close friends.

I hope to all gods that MH fandom will never get as blown up as MLP. I don't need fan-crazies who think that they actually married Frankie Stein.

Allthough I'd be interested in how Mattel would handle something like "dollboys" (lol). They already have a lot of experience with the large fanbase of adult Barbie collectors (lots of them male) and also, they are listening a lot to their fans at the moment (three boys getting made, one of them a fan favorite) and a girl character who used to be a SDCC exclusive getting an official release.

Give it an attempt if you like. I think some of them would fit more in smutworks than others though.

Isn't the "no smut" thing because that fandom is run by the same chick who runs the Disney Fairies fandom and she HATES all the fem!slash out there? Or am I remembering all the wank in the past wrong?

Either way, make your own writing space and do it!! There'd probably be a ton of people who'd love it. Now if only the same could be done for the fairies....I need more Tinkerbell/Vidia...

OP Here, and omfg that's the other fandom I've got half finished smut sitting on my laptop with! I adore the Fairies, but havent' found many other adult fans! So glad to see others who ship Tink/Vidia!

How can a single person "run" a fandom? There are many places to go if you are a Monster High fan. Or are you strictly talking about one tumblr or one DW/LJ?

Only the TV specials are CG. There is also a webseries, books and the diaries that come with the dolls.
All of them vary a bit from each other and the books and diaries are even completely different in many ways.

I've seen drawn porn of this, I'm sure fic wouldn't kill anyone as long as it was tagged. There's proably at least one person in the fandom who's thinking the same thing (or hoping to see some.)

OP here, I've seen the drawn stuff as well, and wasn't impressed. There's only a few really good pieces out there.
