I've never really cared for them beyond knowing that they are important culturally. I like a few songs, even have some on my iPod but they tend to be "obvious" ones. I have got a few funny looks over the years when I say I'm not all that keen personally. Once someone who had literally just got into them two weeks ago had a massive go at me along the lines of "call yourself a music fan, you have no taste" etc and all the while I was going "lol" internally because you know, two weeks and suddenly he was King of Beatles fans.

I can't imagine how it was seeing them at their height because dear god...the screaming. It's bad enough on a recording!

I think you really need to listen to more than just their most famous songs to understand why they were such a great band. Rubber Soul and Revolver are great albums to start with.

I think the implication was that he person had listened to most of their songs and wasn't interested. Some people just don't like what you like.
