Re: Shaving (Women): Help?
Wash first (maybe exfoliate) to remove any dead skin so you get a neater, cleaner shave.
Trim your underarm hair with a small pair of scissors before you start shaving.
Don't shave with cold water. Seriously don't. It also helps if you sit in the warm water and let your pores open up for a few minutes before shaving. I like to put hair conditioner down for a minute or so before I shave my underarms and then put the shaving cream over that. I've never noticed a difference between fancy shaving creams and the ones you can get for less than a buck.
IME shaving with the grain (at least at first) results in fewer ingrown hairs. And instead of going for long strokes do smaller, slower ones.
Don't put on deodorant if you've nicked the skin or it feels irritated. Otherwise you should be good.
