I don't think everyone needs to be a fan, but the Beatles were and still are influential so I understand why they are popular and why there seems to be so much love for them. I do think there are a lot of people who claim to be mega fans but really only know a song or two though. And for some reason in the last decade or so the Beatles have become really popular again. More with the twenty somethings and younger today than our parents or older siblings. I don't know why. I did become interested in their music when I was in high school but I never became a big fan. I actually became more of a Buddy Holly and Bob Dylan fan. Still like them all regardless.

Probably because of things like Youtube, rock band and the newly released remastered CDs making them more accessible.
