Yay for Darken Rahl - and yeah I understand. Richard was the only one there and he was his brother, not really the best option.. hm now that you mention it, I really can't think of anyone else either...

I have this vague idea of a time-travel alias!Darken/young!Zedd hate-love mad passionate infatuation thing ... but then I remember the whole Zedd's-deep-dark-sin-of-assisted-conception thing, which apparently somehow guaranteed that Darken Rahl was going to be evil because somehow it's necessary to punish (?) the child for the sins of the past he had absolutely nothing to do with and I get all confused...
