Yup. Got it in one. It started because of the news reporting that Jupiter snagged and got hit by a huge asteroid that would have hit Earth if not for Jupiter or something. I don't remember the details very well. Anyway, fandom turned it into a hurt/comfort thing and they gave the planets personalities. It was interesting to watch.

And even later there was fic that I was going to take a screencap of before I realized it would be way too small to read if I was going to make it fit on a screencap. Either way, I will never understand how one can get from Jupiter saving our asses to Jupitearth.

And I guess it's just fandom's weirdness, yeah. Personally, due to some phobias I find space incredibly scary, so I'm liking the idea that actually the planets have love lives and friendships and stuff, silly as it is. (Also, crack!pairings make me laugh.)

Oh, thank you very much!! I found the story hilarious, but my embarrassment threshold did try to protest a little because of the cheesiness.

I was very disappointed when they kept referring to Earth as He. :( Like noooo. There are two female planets, weird slash people of tumblr.
