They should have gone with the Black Green Lantern, but they were too afraid that the flop of Hancock meant that America wasn't ready for a Black superhero. They were probably right too.

Ehhhh, Hancock. I was into it until the whole "lol I'm your immortal superhero mate but we can never ever be together!" thing. Like, literally, the second Charlize threw him through the wall was the second I stopped giving a shit about that movie. Which is unfortunate, because it had potential as a lulzy take on the genre.
