I feel the need to point out that Jensen already had a pretty decent career before Supernatural began. I mean, he wasn't a household name or anything but I knew who he was before SPN, mainly from his role on Dark Angel though I had seen him in other things as well.

And Jared was in Gilmore Girls, of course. Not sure what else, if anything, he's done. But it isn't like SPN was the first thing to put either of them on the map.
