Not making this up, but this reminds of that time in Hetalia fandom when people did (and probably still do) State-tans that were US-kun's babies and brothers (mostly no sisters). And then it offshooted into city shipping.

And then street shipping.

It was pretty good times. So many headcanons \:U/

Hey, if you don't judge me for finding USUK amusing, I will not care that you ship RusAme and don't like England, OP. :) (In fact, I won't care all that much anyway, but not judging people will win you points. Have more confidence in yourself - you are not one of the bad guys by the sounds of it, and it's a cool ship.)

As for England being portrayed too sympathetically, I only watch Hetalia for stupidness and consider it almost completely separate from anything in reality, so I have nothing to say on that.

...Does anyone have any RusAme fic recs? Because I suddenly want to read some.

England looks half his age? I thought he was supposed to have the physical appearance of someone in his 20s, sort of like America is a teenager. I'd say that's about right for the art style.

America is supposed to look 19 and England is supposed to look 23. England IS said to have a bit of a baby face (and I'd argue that he really... doesn't look older than America), but he hardly looks 11-12.

This is late and you might not end up reading it but...

There are tons of crazy shippers out there. Russmerica or AmeRuss or whatever the order you want to ship it in is not the only one. As long as you continue to be on the sane side of the fandom, then you should be ok. And don't worry much about people who immediatly label you as cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs and keep doing your own thing. You know what they say, actions speak louder than words and all that.

Also, if you have a valid reason for disliking England then stick to it? Those are my two cents. Anyway, don't stress so much over it and you should be fine.
