Unrelated: Every time I watch through the Kids in the Hall intro, I think to myself: "The cute one... the short one... the wacky one... the tall one... the gay one." It's like they're a boy band. It amuses me.

Never done this quest but I had to stop playing for a few days when my character joined the Dark Brotherhood. I entered the main room, listened to everyone talking and though "oh god there are a bunch of psychopaths, I don't belong here"

I got over it eventually :). You can always make another character and make choices you're more comfortable here, nobody should tell you that you should do everything.

You are not alone, OP. I didn't understand what was so extraordinary and award-winning about it either. Still, I suspect that this is largely because the book offended me early on, so perhaps I can't say much.

I haven't read his other books though. I don't like romance in general, so I'm not really interested. I only read tfios in the first place because all my friends, even those who despise romantic novels, adored it.

So find F1 communities on the Internet or whatever. That kind of thing (finding people who are really obsessive about whatever thing you like that you don't really know anyone else who likes) is exactly what the Internet is great for. I don't follow F1 myself but I'm sure there's a ton of blogs / forums / twitter people to talk about it with, because there are for most sports.

I don't know, maybe that's not satisfactory, but it might scratch the itch.

I know what you mean, OP. I'm mainly into seinen manga, and I've lost count of how many times I've bemoaned the lack of fandom. As for these two in particular, I love them to bits -- and I'm just thankful that there are quite a few doujinshi to be had.
