There are days when I wish I could stand to read Homestuck just because of all the secondhand exposure I get from here and TV Tropes. I keep seeing things that go from "weird" to "hot" to "disturbing" to "hilarious" to "horrifying" to "HNNNNG" to "awesome" to "I never thought about that" to any combination of the above in completely random fashion.

But every time I try, it just... completely loses my interest.

I get that. I took me about 7 tries to really get into it. Once I got hooked, though, I loved it. I always went back and tried again because of the glimpses of the fandom.

Ever considered just watching/reading along with someone else, or just doing the ZOMG SACRILIGE thing and jumping right into Act 5 if the trolls seem to be the most interesting part?
