I remember one time I was at a convention and a dude at the mike asked one of the female actresses if she could star in his porno.
I'm guessing the Supernatural fandom has more of those people than most because of how big you guys are?

Uh, as I recall she was in such a state of shock she didn't say anything. At the same time though, he technically hadn't finished asking his question before they cut his mic and escorted him out.

(Anonymous) 2013-03-26 11:57 pm (UTC)(link)I just hate the way crazy fangirls laugh when one of them asks a stupid/creepy question. Don't laugh, it's not funny, ffs!

But people laugh at the supernatural stuff? Maybe it's awkward laughter? Like, "Haha, oh fuck"? We can hope.

In all seriousness, I thought this secret was in reaction to a recent "OMFG why would you do that?" moment but it seems not. I don't know whether to be relieved or horrified?

But yeah, I guess I'll be relieved. For now. For as long as it lasts.

Unless... they were shopped and I didn't notice or we're talking about a different poll.

Because it's never a secret I always tend to wonder where the line is on what can and can't be discussed with that actors/writers/etc. I mean, stuff like sending them fic or photoshopped pictures I know crosses that line for me. That's an obvious "no". But what about more benign stuff? Say, you know the writer knows about a ship. In the series you notice the two characters of that ship are interacting more and more. Is it okay to ask the writer if they're listening/pandering to the fans of that ship in a small way or just doing their own thing? It seems like a simple and non-invasive question. It also helps shippers not read too much into a scene if a writer gives either answer.
So I never really know in that grey area. I've never asked such questions, granted. I don't ever try to initiate any kind of communication with people on TV shows I like. But whenever I see a fan pose a question like that or do something similar in what I describe as this grey area it always makes me wonder what side of the line it falls on.
