I was so close to making this secret myself! The Belchers, Connors, and the Pendergast family from Easy A are my favorite media families because:

1. They actually enjoy each others' presence.

2. They're not condescending to each other.

3. There is no secret war going on between the parents and children (though the Connor's had their moments.)

I love seeing this kind of family unit that is actually a unit instead of a bunch of people with different lives living in the same house and gnashing their teeth at each other.

Is it odd for an entire family to have black hair?

Linda reminds me a little of my mom, cause my mom used to make songs up like that all the time when I was younger and she's sort of childish in the same way. Also they look sort of alike.

I think OP is referring to how animated families don't usually have kids who match their parents. The three blonde children of Marge and Homer Simpson come to mind.

That's normal, too. Genetics can be passed on from grandparent to grandchild. I have two blonde siblings but neither of my parents is blonde.

I think in cartoons it's done mainly for variety and to distinguish characters apart. In Bob's Burgers they just made one of the children a boy, gave one glasses and the other bunny ears so they each look distinctive aside from hair color.

It's not odd for an entire family to have the same hair color. I just like the black hair because they don't look too stereotypically American that way *shrugs*

...also I don't need to buy a wig or change my hair color to cosplay as one of them, hehe.

No shame at all; ultimately the family's close and cares for each other, despite all the crazy shit that goes on. They really feel like a great family.
