Yeah, that scene. I think it's fine if you didn't pick up on it the first time through.

This is actually why I asked for other people's interpretations of that scene. I wanted to know if I was being oversensitive. This is because I know I kind of am to rapey scenes. I honestly blame the first rape scene I ever saw. I had to watch Rosemary's Baby in one of my classes and the teacher never warned for the rape scene. She warned for the ending, but not the rape scene. But yeah, wooooo nightmares~!

But no, what you say totally makes sense. There are a lot of scenes with rape overtones and they all kinda make me twitch. For me it was just that the hospital scene, in particular, was just too much for me.

Argh, sorry for deleting my comment.

The scene that made me twitch and imo went too far was Peter attacking Lydia in the field. That was...way over the top rapey. And it seemed to go on forever.

No no, I was just having a weird moment. I was going to repost but it's fine.

Yeah, although I suppose everything to do with Peter and Lydia is kind of rapey. But the first season at the dance when she went out to the Lacrosse field or wherever. I mean, it had her trying to crawl away and him straddling her and...it was just very twitchy for me.

Ah, that's very interesting. I was more concerned with murder but now that I think back I can definitely see what you mean.

But yeah, everything to do with them is very... rapey.
