You mean dead in real life due to animal abuse, or dead as a character's pet on the show? Because yeah to the latter since the guard does kill off the cat, and that's basically why the old dude decides to join up with the prison breakers.

It's okay you gave up on the show though. I only wish I had quit sooner before I accidentally perma-glued my face to that mess.
