I like keeping my desktop pretty empty of things. All my programs are in the start menu.

On my other computer I'm running Windows 8 instead of 7 and I think my background is a beach?

And for one good minute I sat here wondering about the advantages of having pretty sports yaoi men alone on a desktop, until I saw your postscript. Your beautiful boys shall remain untarnished :D

So many video and sound editors and cutters. And Notepad++ in your standby of ready-to-use programs? You look like someone who does a lot of hard work into making things look and sound their very best like no one ever was. To edit them is your real test, to premiere them is your cause?

I like to have windows open but not maximized and then position them so I can gaze at my untarnished desktop in the background while I work ha.

I try to be a fanvidder sometimes when I can get over my vidder's block! ;)

It's alright if you don't want to answer, but what do you think of Photoshop 6? I still haven't updated mine (CS 5.1) and I have no intention to for the time being. But I am curious about what the latest version can do though.

Love the revamped crop tool. I guess they added the ability to use content-aware replace with the patch tool but I usually use the spot-healing brush anyway. Probably the feature I love and use the most is improved import video frames to layers, because I make a lot of gifs. It just seems to run smoother, and iirc back in 5 or 5.5 you had to use the 32-bit version to import videos to layers, but now everything runs in 64-bit. They've actually added even more options for working with videos too where you can have a kind of Premiere-esque timeline within Photoshop? TBH I haven't done much with that yet, just sticking to my old workflow, since I do my actual video editing in Premiere anyway. But maybe I'll explore it in the future.
