(Anonymous) 2013-03-27 03:24 am (UTC)(link)If only it was an easy feat to install Linux on Windows 8. I would like to buy a new netbook so that it will run Fedora, but my only option is an old or refurbished Windows 7 :(

(Anonymous) 2013-03-27 03:30 am (UTC)(link)Just find out whether that laptop has the option to disable Secure Boot in BIOS. Mine actually does, so if I really wanted to run Linux again I could do that (it worked fine when I tested it out with a boot disc). But after I disabled the Metro screen and got my start menu back with Classic Shell, Windows 8 grew on me and I decided to stick with it. I just use Cygwin for a few things.
