Yeah, I didn't quite think the title through on this one >>; Sorry about that - I didn't mean to cause any wank with it. (I was thinking "reverse" in terms of what people normally think of (especially in regards to this particular gesture), not what actually constitutes sexual harassment.)

I've barely been at this job two weeks, so I don't...really feel comfortable taking things like this to HR because I could see that it was meant as a joke and, yeah, it probably wasn't work-place appropriate, but I also don't want to be known as that whiny little newbie. The job's only seasonal for now and I'd like to be considered for a permanent position, so I don't...really want to ruin my shot at that. I mean, if it does continue and get gross, no matter who's involved, I probably will report it. I do like our HR manager, so I'm not actually afraid to say anything to her if it's something that's clearly inappropriate rather than just possibly being an ill-conceived joke.

It's been a while since I've had to properly interact with the real world, and I don't ever really know if the internet has made me oversensitive to these things, or if I'm just more aware, or what. And I'm pretty easy-going most of the time, and I'd rather my superiors have that impression of me and subsequently take me more seriously if I do report something, rather than getting reports about every little things that rubs me the wrong way :/

I think the internet has made a lot of people oversensitive about a lot of things. It's OK. As long as comments like that aren't directed at you, I'd just lay low.
