I think you're feeling this way because when the books ended, everyone thought, "We'll still have the movies and the fanworks," and when the movies were over, everyone thought, "We'll still have the fanworks." (Let's forget the utter crap that was Pottermore.) But now arguably the most famous parody other than Potter Puppet Pals is over, people are realizing that even the fanworks are ending.

I have to start talking about something else before I get too emotional to grammar.

I sobbed grossly at AVPSY and I didn't even go to the last 3 movies!

I went into this and was like "pff the Starkids are just silly fun. This will be super fun."

When like he opened the snitch and his parents started singing "Everything has an End". . .I'm tearing up just THINKING about it.

It was three in the morning when I watched the finale and when Darren started singing the reprise I was literally clapping and sniffling and just. I got more emotional about this one than the final Harry Potter movie too, I'm completely serious.

I think it's because the book and the movie didn't really point out as much that "hey, this thing is ending." The starkids addressed it head on saying "hey guys, it's been fun, but it's ending and that's totally ok." Which really opened the wound fresh in the best way. I haven't really had Harry Potter emotions in years but. . .I guess I'm never over it.

Oh my fucking, yes about the three in the morning. I was like "Okay, I'll just watch like act one" and then suddenly it was three and I needed a tissue because GROSS UGLY SOBBING.

I also agree about Starkid really being all "IT'S OVER NOW" and that was just sad.

I had to legit pause it around maybe the second to last part because I was crying so hard. I feel much more close to the Starkid fandom though then the actual Harry Potter one if that makes sense.

I watched this for the first time last night, and was sobbing through the last three parts.

Then I went into a state of shock, like when I turned the last page of The Deathly Hallows back in 07. It was so final, this part of my life is really over. I almost didn't want them to make it, because the idea of it filled me with hope, and now that it's done I have nothing to look forward to in the HP world.

What truly hit me, was seeing the entire cast tear up for the last 15 minutes, and how they were barely holding it together. You can tell this meant as much to them as it did to us.

But remember: Darren failing at putting the tie on and yelling FUCK THE TIE! And kept going. That's what we have to do. :')

I liked the end, but I still feel AVPS was the best of the trilogy. There was too much in AVPSY to not bog it down. So by the time I got to the "sobby" part, I was bored out of my mind.

But then, I'd already made my peace with Harry Potter ending in 2007, especially considering that OOTP was the last good Harry Potter movie. The fanworks were nice, but for me, Harry Potter had already ended.
