The "2000-year-old vampire princess" probably fits a lot of tropes, but it makes me think of Dance in the Vampire Bund, and I think that's a good example of one that wasn't played for glamour or sexuality of childlike innocence (though I s'pose there were plenty of loli moments) but for angst. It had political connotations to the story, Mina personally hated looking like a child, and it gave her potential relationship with Akira a lot of extra nuance.

So yeah, IA, it can be done effectively as a non-molesty writing device. It just isn't, usually.

IIRC, what Pema and Tenzin did wasn't cheating. You could argue that Pema was poaching, but I seem to recall that the way it went down is that Pema told Tenzin she had feelings for him, and then he broke things off with Lin. Cheating would be if they went around behind Lin's back while Tenzin was still with her (like with Mako kissing Korra).

Yeah, there's a ridiculous double standard in some corners of fandom. Some fangirls will make such a big stink about how ~every woman's body is beautiful and perfect and HOW DARE you fatshame anyone, and then they'll turn around and talk about how Jensen Ackles has become such a disgusting pile of fat shit and that it's total killing their girlboner.

The 200 years thing still frustrates me so badly. It was a fabulous idea and they did absolutely nothing with it. He apparently didn't change AT ALL over the course of 200 flippin' years except to have his ruthless streak deepened slightly for three episodes.
