Big old mole on my forehead, mouth full of braces for MASSIVE overbite, bangs that went too far back on my head and a snotty attitude about being better than "popular girls".

Also an obsession with band t-shirts and very badly-fitting jeans.

Recently compared some photos of me from primary school, high school, and now, and I look mostly the same, except I wear a pair of glasses now.

Pretty much the same, just with worse glasses, shorter hair, thinner, and plus a terrible school uniform.

I had feathered bangs. Oh, man. Feathered bangs. Otherwise, umm...actually ,a lot the same. I've actually had people i haven't seen in ten, fifteen years tell me i look 'exactly the same'.

I wear glasses now, and had contacts then....

Dark hair split down the middle (it did get to a light brown my senior year), bad acne, dark Asian skin, thinner than I am now...badly done makeup, mostly just eyeliner and lipgloss.

I was in denial about having curly hair (well, I grew up with my parents yelling at me to "comb my ratty hair" all the time so maybe I just didn't KNOW ... even though I was born with it) so I had awkward frizzy lumpy hair. You know how curly hair looks when it gets combed out? Just awful. Ceramic straightening irons weren't really a thing at that point or at least I didn't have one, so I would sometimes use a curling iron to try to get it sleek -- but good GOD I had awful hair.

I got glasses at 16 and I insisted on finding thick, round frames that looked exactly like the ones Japanese dudes would wear in the old B&W Godzilla films (if you know what I'm talking about) so that just made me look nerdier

SURPRISINGLY I DIDN'T HAVE ANY ACNE (that would come later, in college, in fact it's still a problem, I blame my meds)

I wore cardigans w/ plaid pleated skirts or jeans with patched-up holes. ALL of my clothing came from the thrift store. It wasn't really me trying to be "cool" so much as it was my family not having enough money to buy me new clothing

Other than the hair and glasses I look more or less that same now. My wardrobe has improved (though I more or less dress the same) and my skin isn't as nice

Shoulder length hair that I dyed black but never redid, so by senior year, I had a skunk stripe of blonde down the middle.

Same mid-length/long hair (because I just grew it back out last year), but I had much worse acne an increasingly distended stomach (thanks, undetected food allergies/sensitivies) and stick-like arms and legs. I also had braces up until halfway through freshman year.

Exactly the same except shorter hair (only because I've put off getting my hair cut so long that it's gone from a pixie cut to shoulder-length, hopefully going to fix that soon), contact lenses instead of glasses since I no longer have family member spoiling me by buying them for me, and my clothing is now more Kohls and less Hot Topic.
