Oh dear God, everything I have seen from/about the fandom and how they interact with the characters and stories makes me want to avoid that show more than anything else.

I'm kind of in the fandom and I totally support this. It's a good decision.

I very, very recently just discovered how small my sane little area of fandom is. So I absolutely and completely understand where you're coming from even if I like the show. I just- I should have never ventured forth.

That's what happened to me with Supernatural. A friend got me to try the show and got me into her corner of the fandom and I liked it. Then I went out into fandom at large and went WTF?

I'm kinda sad that I got exposed to fandom at large for Teen Wolf before I got a chance to watch it, as it actually seems like it could be my kind of show, but there is no way I'm touching it with a 10-foot pole now. :(

Yeah, it was actually a pretty terrifying experience. It also made me embarrassed because I defended the fandom here on F!S only a little bit before that horrible adventure. Now I look back on it and just think about how wrong I was.

Um... I like the show for two reasons really. I like it for its potential that it never uses and because I watch it with a friend and we spend the entire episode ripping into it. So my view of it may be a bit skewed but let me say that the gifs and stuff on tumblr make it look way cooler than it actually is, if that helps. What I'm trying to say is that you may not be missing much depending on your tastes. So don't feel too bad?
