Uh, let's see. I have several thoughts in response to this; I'll try to keep them organized.

1. Not caring about anything can be a symptom of depression. Have you had that checked?
2. If you want to get worked up about something, the real world has a vast number of troubling situations to get worked up over.
2a. If you can't feel passion on real-world subjects, that's... kind of odd and doesn't say anything good about your empathy, although it's not unique.
2b. Also, it can be harder to get un-worked-up over them, because they never go away and actually are a big deal, unlike most fandom brouhahas, so they might not be the best choice if you're looking for mental stimulation.

I'm not trying to be purposely rude, but this comment seems... ultimately unhelpful? Boiling it down, you seem to leave the OP 3 choices: 1. Accept that they have depression. 2. Get involved in IRL causes to prove that they don't have depression; inevitably become depressed because IRL is inherently depressing. 3. Only be invested in fandom issues, because anything else is too depressing.

There is a middle ground to all of these options which involves being emotionally healthy and being able to care about both 'trivial' fandom stuff and big scary IRL issues at the same time, jsyk. Good luck, OP!

(Plus, the OP might not even be depressed, just a bit indifferent to fandom right now. I know wanks can often entertain me when the rest of fandom can't, so this isn't necessarily a big deal. It;s normal to have your interests wax and wane over time!)

Just noticed the bit at the top of the secret that the OP feels indifference most days. So yes, I would definitely recommend talking to someone about feeling that way most of the time, because that definitely can be a sign of depression. Once again, good luck OP!
