No, but at this point it's like "why even bother jumping in". According to dictionary.com both "come" and "cum" are correct but non-classy slang, and which you decide pick is about personal preference. /shrugs

It's just personal preferences, like pussy vs cunt or cock vs *shudders* penis. People get turned off by different words all the time. Me, I don't like come, but it's not a deal break-lady garden or penis is.

A lot of it is down to how true it is to the perspective character, too. It's not hard to guess which characters would be using which words, even in their own mental dialogue, and write appropriately.

That too, I can see Jayne from firefly using the word cunt but not Simon.
