You remind me of someone I know from my fandom.

For the record, I'm totally in love with my fandom classic. Then there's this other fan who has already stated that said fic leaves her mostly "meh". It kinda makes me sad, because she's the kind of person who always offers interesting analysis of fandom stuff, and well, it's obvious I'll never be able to discuss that fic with her. But, I guess it's impossible to make someone like something they don't, and I can see where are you coming from, so I think it's OK.

As someone has already said, as long as you don't yell publicly that you hate that fic with all your soul, I think you should be fine.
