I don't think you or other anon actually understand what you're talking about. I hate it when people are all "can't even handle the mere mention of it!" because that's not what is going on. A story that deals with a major character death is not a mention, it's a complete emotional story. Which I assume is what the author is going for, to evoke a strong emotional reaction. I don't understand how you can both argue that you don't want people spoiled so that they do have a strong emotional reaction, and then argue that people shouldn't be having strong emotional reactions to stories.
