Re: Bioshock Infinite [SPOILERS]
i'm having an infinite conversation in the last secret thread still, as someone already pointed out lol, but i'll repeat myself here: it seems like infinite focuses less on the environment than the other bioshocks did. the first two were all about rapture, class warfare, religious power struggles, etc. columbia had those things but the focus always seemed to be on the protag. which is fine, but as someone who still replays the first two bioshocks regularly, i think i went into infinite expecting something else, so when it ended up being different it threw me for a loop.
halfway through the game things started getting weird, like with the tears and physics and shit. like it was good, imo, because i like "stream of consciousness" types of media, even if they can be hard to follow. but i'm not sure it worked for this game in particular.
things just got weirder and weirder and by the end everything seemed like it was just a lucid dream, like the people around booker were just his inner demons continuously haunting him.
the title itself kind of alludes to this, i think? i haven't checked the wiki in a few days so i'm not sure how much more fleshed out it is, but i should probably go check to see if other people made more sense of the game than i did.
