Unfortunately, for a lot of people, if they don't understand it, they won't listen. Not that that is a bad thing, it is just the way they listen to music. Personally, I honestly cannot concentrate on lyrics the first ten or twenty times I hear a song, so I could care less what language it is in. For me, it is about how it all comes together. Do I get the emotion of the song from the music and the singer's voice, or do they seem to be saying two different things? Many people look at me like I'm insane. I'm used to it by now.

Also, though, while the eye candy is nice in KPop, the sound is it for me. Some groups are very nice visually, but the sound leaves me going "wow, no." But I understand, there do seem to be a lot of fans who care less about the music and more about the eye candy. Shame, that.

I have some problems processing people speaking to the point that there are a lot of English language songs that I've listened to hundreds of times and I honestly can't remember what they're singing. So listening to a song in another language doesn't really bug me, because I mostly process vocals as just another instrument in the song. Though, to be true, if the lyrics have a really good meaning I'll like the song more (whether or not I can understand them).

Yeah. I own music that when I bought it I didn't like the look of the group (though sometimes after that they restyled for a new promotion and I did like them visually then), and didn't know anyone's name or had any kind of "relationship" with the group other than liking their music.

I also really like watching the show Immortal Song 2, which is sort of like an American Idol format except they're all professional singers ("Idols" and non-Idols) covering songs from some of the "Great" or otherwise classic Korean singers. It's pretty amazing. If you haven't seen it you should check it out. :x I know there are some of the performances on YouTube and maybe subtitled shows too.
