It's a multi character show. The "teen wolf" is Scott, Stiles is his best friend, and Derek is the other main werewolf. Scott has scenes with everyone, Stiles and Derek rarely interact.

This is actually mind blowing because I thought those two were main characters, like the Sam and Dean of the show based on all the talk about them.
