I have a hard time watching it because of all of the things they changed.

It's okay to stray from the books on occasion, but I feel that the TV show does so far more often than it needs to--and it not only makes things different, but worse.

Yeah there are a couple of good changes, but there are a lot more "wtf were you thinking?" changes.

Though they did make the best choice ever in ageing up most of the characters. I can't even begin to imagine the show with a 13 year old Dany holy fuck.

Dany I agree with. But none of the other characters needed to be aged up, and I think they worked much better as children.

This. I wasn't bored by the show because I knew what was going to happen. I was infuriated by it because of the changes that make it different and /worse/ than than books.

In retrospect, it was actually MUCH better when it stuck very closely to the books. I didn't mind some of the changes at first and some did work well but by the end of S2, I was sick and tired of the bad decision making in terms of changes. 80% of them were much worse.

And in honesty I didn't even really like the books /that/ much. I thought I would love the changes.
