I love my friends, I do. This didn't so much as piss me off, as much as make me sigh. As usual, they invited themselves over to my house today. I just wanted a boring night filled with me playing Harvest Moon: Animal Parade. Now I'll probably be up late and no HM for me.

I know I'll have a fun time with them (I saw one of them yesterday and it was fun as we watched a really bad movie together), but sometimes I'd like to have input before they invite themselves over.

It is never ok for someone to invite themselves over to another person's place, IMHO. If my friends did that to me, we wouldn't be friends anymore. I think that is one of the most disrespectful things someone can to do to another that isn't malicious in nature.

So bring it up. Say - hey, i'm going to be having some stuff going on, make sure you call next time, k?

And if they just 'drop by' again, tell 'em they have to go, or tell 'em you only have a half-hour or something. Friends get that you're not 24/7 available, or they're not really friends.

Also, turn your porch light off. :)
