Re: Lard

If it's used in baked goods, like pie dough, I see no problem. I tend to avoid it, though, because I prefer not to eat much beef or pork for environmental reasons (I assume lard comes from one or both of those animals?) and have a bunch of vegan/vegetarian friends. I don't think I'd be able to stomach lard straight-up, though, it that's what you're talking about.
